Astral Route has officially unveiled its next-generation Search-and-Rescue Robotic Dog, a highly mobile quadruped robot engineered for civil emergency response, disaster recovery, and urban search operations.
Designed for deployment in earthquake zones, collapsed buildings, flood-stricken areas, and wildfire environments, the Astral Route robotic dog combines advanced mobility, real-time environmental sensing, and AI-powered navigation to enhance first responder efficiency while reducing human risk.
Key Technical Capabilities:
360° LiDAR mapping and obstacle avoidance
Multi-sensor fusion (thermal imaging, optical zoom, gas detection)
AI-assisted victim detection algorithms
Autonomous and remote-control modes
IP67-rated weatherproof design
2–4 hour operational endurance with hot-swappable battery
The quadruped platform is engineered with dynamic stabilization control, enabling stable locomotion across rubble, uneven terrain, stairs, and confined spaces inaccessible to wheeled robots.
According to Astral Route's Robotics Division Director, "Our search-and-rescue robotic dog is built to enter environments that are too dangerous for human teams. It extends operational reach while improving real-time situational awareness."
Civil authorities and disaster management agencies are increasingly adopting quadruped robotic systems to accelerate rescue operations and improve survivability outcomes.
