The structural design of humanoid robots is a reshaping of the wonderful human body. It not only requires the cross-integration of multiple disciplines, but also is the epitome of cutting-edge technology. Its design principles mainly include the following aspects.
(1) The organic integration of bionics and mechanical engineering. To design a humanoid robot, it is necessary to apply the principles of bionics and create a mechanical structure similar to the skeleton, joints, muscles and skin system for the robot by imitating the human body structure and movement laws. This not only enables it to move naturally like humans, but also has flexibility and adaptability. New discoveries in mechanical engineering theory ensure the stability of the humanoid robot structure. Accurate selection of materials and clever design of structures can enable humanoid robots to maintain a stable and efficient operating state, thereby being competent for complex tasks.
(2) Integrated breakthroughs in sensing technology and control theory. Sensors play the role of human sensory organs and can perceive environmental information like eyes, ears and skin. Visual sensors capture environmental images through cameras, allowing humanoid robots to identify objects and distinguish colors and shapes; sound sensors receive and interpret voice commands, allowing humanoid robots to understand and respond to human speech; force sensors imitate the human body's force perception, allowing humanoid robots to accurately perceive contact force during interaction with the outside world; tactile sensors imitate human touch, helping humanoid robots accurately perceive the shape and hardness of objects. The control system is the brain of the humanoid robot, which processes the acquired data and makes decisions with the help of computing units and intelligent algorithms. In this process, the application of multiple intelligent algorithms makes robots closer and closer to humans. For example, reinforcement learning methods learn through trial and error and adjust behavioral strategies; deep learning methods use deep neural networks to handle tasks such as vision and speech recognition; and natural language processing methods enable humanoid robots to understand human language and interact. Humanoid robots integrate multiple sensors and intelligent control algorithms, breaking through the limitations of the single sensor control method in the past.
(3) Precise coordination of driving methods and execution actions. The driver of a humanoid robot is responsible for converting energy into mechanical motion. Depending on the energy conversion method, the driver can be divided into motor, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc., such as high-efficiency electric motors, precision hydraulic systems, pneumatic artificial muscles, etc. The actuator is responsible for specific operations and can complete grasping, carrying or other high-precision actions. The precise coordination of the driver mode and the execution action is like a perfect mapping of strength and action. Through the selection of the driver mode and the regulation of the execution action, the humanoid robot can even reproduce human expressions such as smiles, frowns, and surprises, so as to interact with humans more intimately and naturally.
